From time-to-time, I will post slideshows of learning happening in our classroom. Please check back occasionally for updates. Some of the slideshows are quite large so please be patient while they load.
May - We are learning to sketch using shapes to get get the parts of our drawing the right size. Then we started on our shading to show light and dark. Wow! Now our trunks look 3D.
April - Some of us working from our new text books on Statistics and others are researching about the Forms and Functions of Measurement.
April - In pairs, we used what we learned about each material and designed our filters and layering order. The we tested to see who's filter cleaned the dirty, oily water the best.
April - We explored different filtering materials to see which would clean our dirty, oily water the best. We had bark, sand, cotton wool and paper towels to test individually. It was such a wild weather day. Very windy and then the rain poured down. We had to take shelter on the BASC deck.
March 2011 - Mind maps created in an application called Inspiration. Students were required to identify elements that would 'switch them off' from learning or take them off task
